Cooking has an uncanny way of bringing people together. That’s exactly what happened when Rainbow Chefs Academy hosted an interactive team-building event at Anne Arundel County Public Schools’ meeting of superintendents and leaders. Educators explored the importance of K-12 nutrition education and participated in hands-on recipe preparation (and friendly competition).
Rainbow Chefs Academy was on-site in Maryland to ensure a high-impact experience for attendees. Shout-out to Chef Tre who also played a key role in the event’s success.
Collaborating to Support the Success of Every Student
Home to Maryland’s capital of Annapolis, Anne Arundel County is situated on Chesapeake Bay—not far from Washington, DC and Baltimore. Anne Arundel County Public Schools (AACPS) is among Maryland’s largest public school districts, according to data from the Maryland State Department of Education. For the 2025-2026 school year, AACPS reported enrollment levels in excess of 84,000 students. AACPS employs more than 6,400 teachers and achieved an 88.9% graduation rate during the 2024-2025 school year.
Despite its consistent enrollment growth, AACPS remains committed to a central focus: ensuring success for every student. Rainbow Chefs Academy is aligned with this philosophy and stands ready to support student success through health, wellness, and nutrition education.
